Remember el Alma seeking volunteer performers!

Looking for Community Members to Participate
in a Performance
as part of this year's Luminaria Festival

Where & When
March 13, 2010 at 9.30pm
The performance is part of the San Antonio Luminaria 2010
and is scheduled to take place at the Hemisfair Plaza
On the wall of the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center
(Across from the Instituto Cultural Mexicano)
and will last twenty minutes.

REMEMBER
EL ALMA

The women didn't fight at the Alamo, but they are the true heroines of that battle. They had to survive without husbands, fathers, sons, brothers, and lovers. What happened to them? How do women survive war?

Remember el Alma (Remember your Soul)...an on-site performance, directed by, written by, and performed by women, is produced by Kellen McIntyre, Exec. Director, Bihl Haus Arts, Directed by Virginia Grise, with original text by Barbara Renaud Gonzalez, video design by E.M. Gimenez.

Olupero R. Aiyenimelo Marisela Barrera, Rachel Cruz, Monique Cortez, Natalie Goodnow, and Saray Rosales will perform in the nichos of the wall and will be accompanied by over 100 women.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?
We are looking for 17 women who will act as volunteer performers or Almas the night of March 13th.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?
-Recruit 10 women to join you on March 13th. A total of 189 women will be part of the performance that night.
-Attend ONE informational meeting/rehearsal on March 6th (from 3pm-7pm) OR March 7th (from 11am-3pm) at the Bihl Haus (2803 Fredericksburg Rd.)
