Theatre Action Project's looking for more teaching artists!

Theatre Action Project is a team of professionally trained artists and educators that works in partnership with schools and communities to lead unique and engaging arts programs which allow young people to learn critical life skills, gain tools for creative expression and have successful experiences that build self-esteem and confidence.

We are seeking to hire:
TEACHING ARTISTS to lead after school theatre arts programs for students in grades K through 5th, within the time frame of 2:30-6:00pm, (and I happen to know we're also looking for some 6th through 12th teaching artists too) geared toward building community, self confidence, creative expression and an understanding of social issues. We are seeking individuals who align with our mission and are highly creative, energetic, enthusiastic team players. Must have some experience with one or more of the following disciplines: creative drama, puppetry, creative writing, acting, dance, music, improvisation, devised theatre, community-based arts, theatre of the oppressed, film making, visual arts, movement or design. Part-time positions are available and begin on February 22. Many new classes are with Del Valle ISD after school programs. We also have substitute teaching artist positions available.

IF HIRED, ALL TEACHING ARTISTS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND TRAINING ON THE FOLLOWING DAYS:
Wednesday February 17 from 2pm-6pm
Thursday February 18 from 2pm-6pm

AUDITIONS FOR TEACHING ARTISTS will be held February 12th from 1:00-6:00pm, location TBD. Applicants must be able to attend the entire audition workshop.
